Chiropractic Care
Why Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the only profession dedicated to the detection and correction of Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). VSC occurs when there is an interference with the nerve system caused by the movable bones of the spine. VSC is the underlying cause of many health problems.
Chiropractic care is based on the scientific fact that the nervous system controls virtually every cell, tissue, organ and system of the body. Therefore, therapies are based on the fact that disease is often caused by interference with nerve function. By using spinal adjustment to bring nerves back "on line" means a restoration of normal nerve function, in a natural, non-stress method without the use of drugs.
For some the symptom is headaches, in others it is back pain, others irritable bowel syndrome or asthma. In children subluxations may cause a block in the draining of the ear and cause ear infections. If a subluxation is left uncorrected it can affect the structure and function of the joints of the spine, and thus lead to Scoliosis, or the start of the cycle of Spinal Arthritis.
Subluxations like viruses can happen at anytime. They can be caused by repetitive strain injury, sports injuries, prolonged sitting at a desk or computer or Long Drives and more. Stress and the physical tension can also create a subluxation of the spine.
Only chiropractors are trained to detect and correct subluxations with specific chiropractic adjustments. The adjustment is a specific low force applied to the spine to re-align the vertebrae, thus removing the nerve interference and restoring proper function of the nerves. It is gentle, and is completely drug free. After completing his/her undergraduate education, a chiropractor then completes an additional four years of intense training in an accredited Chiropractic college in order to become a Chiropractic doctor.
Chiropractic care is for all ages because a healthy spine and nervous system need to be a priority today, for healthier tomorrows!
